Bridgestone Americas Reorganizes Commercial Group

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO), Nashville, Tenn., has formed an integrated mining tire business unit and reorganized the Bridgestone Commercial Group, which includes the company’s off-road tires.

The new mining business unit, Bridgestone Mining Solutions, combines all mining tire sales, service and sales engineering, as well as a select group of U.S. and Canadian stores, into one integrated structure.

In addition, BATO made several personnel changes within its commercial tire operations to strengthen structural clarity, efficiency and profitability.

Within BACS, John Boynton has been named vice president of sales for TBR, retread and construction tires. Within BATO’s Company Owned Operations Group (COO), Doyle Bradford has been appointed vice president, sales and operations.

In addition, a new position has been created to help develop and execute long-term strategies for all commercial businesses. Stacey Simmons will serve as director of strategic planning.

“Under this new structure, we have created a very dynamic and effective leadership team for our commercial tire organization,” said Ken Weaver, president, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales Division, BATO. “With these changes, our business will also be more streamlined, more responsive to changing market conditions and better positioned to achieve our goal of providing customers with comprehensive, solution-based offerings.”
