For the fourth year, Lift and Access is hosting the Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards, which is intended to recognize products, accessories, or design concepts that are considered innovative or have advanced the state of the lifting equipment industry. To qualify for consideration, products must have been introduced or delivered to the North American market between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2008.
Categories for the LLEAP Awards include aerial lifts; material handlers; mobile cranes with capacities less than 100 tons; optional equipment, attachments or accessories; safety features or operating systems; or support products and services. Equipment manufacturers and component suppliers may nominate their own equipment, products, or designs for a processing fee. Additionally, the staff of Lift and Access and/or the judges' panel may submit a nomination at their discretion.
Finalists will be selected by the editorial staff of Lift and Access, and a panel of judges comprised of equipment rental professionals and industry consultants will select one platinum winner for best all-around innovation, as well as one gold and one silver winner in each category. Winners will be announced and recognized in the November 2008 issue of Lift and Access.
