Crane Contacts Power Line, Snarls Traffic

Richmond, Va., May 2012—No one was injured, but traffic was backed up for hours after a late-night accident in which a construction crane hit a power line. Crews had to stop traffic for 15-minute intervals all night while trying to make repairs. The backups lasted through the following morning’s commuter rush, with cars bumper to bumper and traffic cut to one lane in each direction. –
