Cunningham to Instruct at 2012 NCCER Women’s Leadership Academy

NCCER, Alachua, Fla., has added Malena Cunningham to its team of expert instructors this year at the NCCER Women’s Leadership Academy at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. Cunningham is a 23-year broadcasting veteran with time at CNN as well as local ABC and NBC affiliate stations across the country. She now owns her own consulting firm where she assists women with image enhancement.

“Too often, women tend to neglect or disregard the importance of image in the business world,” said Cunningham. “Your image helps reinforce your credibility, no matter what stage of your career you’re in.”

In addition to image enhancement, topics to be presented at this year’s academy include powerful language for women, gender-based power in business, time management, leadership styles and traits, conflict resolution, and negotiation tips.

This academy includes instruction from Denise Norberg-Johnson, past president of the National Association of Women in Construction; Roger Liska, associate dean and professor for the Department of Construction Science and Management at Clemson University; Tom Tansey, owner of Tansey and Associates; and Bill Wilson, president and CEO of The Judgment Index.

The academy is open to all women, regardless of the industry in which they work. This academy offers women the opportunity to sharpen their business and personal skills while receiving three continuing education credits upon successful completion.

The 2012 academy will be held at Clemson University on March 24-27. For more information, visit www.nccer.org/womens-leadership-academy.
