Ritchie Bros. has announced it will hold its multi-day February auction in Orlando, Fla., from Feb. 15-19, 2016. The 2015 event attracted more than 9,350 bidders from 81 countries, and more than 10,000 equipment items were sold. Consignments are now being accepted for the 2016 event.
The 10,000+ items in the February 2015 Orlando auction sold for more than $179 million, including a site record $66 million of equipment sold to online buyers. Close to 80% of the equipment was sold to buyers outside of Florida, including 27% sold to buyers outside of the country. The five-day unreserved public auction featured equipment from 875 sellers from across the United States and other countries.
Equipment highlights from the 2015 February Orlando auction included 495+ compactors, 450+ excavators, 270 wheel loaders, 235+ dozers, 300+ truck tractors, 290+ trailers, 200+ van trucks, 175+ loader backhoes, 100+ motor graders, 90 dump trucks, 45+ cranes, 285+ boom lifts, 170+ scissor lifts, 275+ forklifts, 45+ farm tractors, 130+ pickup trucks and much more. Every item was sold with no minimum bid or reserve price.
