Elobau Introduces Control Components

Elobau Sensor Technology, Lake Bluff, Ill., introduces a larger thumbwheel control, Model 151DT01, designed to give users a better tactile feel as well as easier control. In addition, the company is offering a new micro pushbutton, Model 145MA, a Hall Effect device with linear analog output. Both new components from Elobau are designed for integration into an industrial joystick knob or control panel.

Model 151DT01 features a generous 8.2-mm-wide thumbwheel and compact mounting dimensions of only 37 mm x 25.25 mm x 27.7 mm for easy integration into joystick knobs. With an IP67 DIN EN 60529 protection class housing and operating temperature range from •13 F to 167 F, this rugged unit is designed for harsh environments and continuous outdoor use. Operating voltage is 4.5 to 5.5 DC standard, with 15mA current and output voltage of 0.5 to 4.5 DC.

The compatible micro push-button control, Model 145MA, is based on Hall Effect technology with a linear analog output, making it ideal for applications where a simple on/off switching function is insufficient. These include controlling moving devices on all types of machines and mobile systems, as well as hydraulic valves on industrial vehicles. The switching element on this push-button device is housed in an IP67 protection class housing, making it suitable for the harshest environments.

Elobau guarantees long service life in excess of 2 million operations on the switching mechanism. The button caps are available in multiple colors and can be imprinted with customer-specific symbols, as needed. Model 145MA functions well in ambient operating temperatures from •4 F to 167 F. Operating voltage is 5 volts and the maximum operating current is 15mA. In the standard version, output voltage is 0.5 to 4.5 DC.

Elobau is a vertically integrated manufacturer that performs all circuit and cable production, plastic molding, assembly and full performance testing at its factories. Thus, modifications to suit virtually all industrial and commercial requirements can be achieved quickly.
