EquipWholesale.com Expands Business

In order to assist its client's ever-growing equipment needs, equipment broker EquipWholesale.com, Santee, Calif., has added more customer service representatives on the West Coast. Rob Naylor will be assisting clients from Sacramento, Calif., while Jeff Moir will be working with clients from his base in Oregon. Kay Torrans also has joined the team to assist with accounting and administration.

According to Todd Moir, owner and principal broker of EquipWholesale.com, the company will continue to add more brokers to its staff this spring. With most of its clients on the West Coast, Moir said that the company plans to grow west to east. He added that EquipWholesale.com would continue to sell most of its equipment online, buying from reputable sources such as equipment dealers and rental companies.

Over the past year, Moir said that finding equipment has been a challenge, where in the past it was always the opposite. “If you can find it, it's hard to get people to release it,” he said. “But that's a good problem to have.”

Focusing primarily on mid-sized equipment, Moir said the most popular machines EquipWholesale.com sold last year were 60-foot diesel-powered boom lifts with or without jibs. Compact telehandlers with tool-handling capabilities were also popular.

The company also recently added attachments and scaffolding to its product offerings.
