Genie Promotes Hislop, Hailey to Team Directors | Construction News

Genie, the Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) segment of Terex Corporation, announces the appointment of Adam Hailey as  director of product management and Chad Hislop as design engineering director.

As director of product management, Hailey drives the development and execution of strategic plans for new product development, as well as the positioning and lifecycle of existing Genie-branded products worldwide.

As design engineering director, Hislop oversees product improvement for all Genie branded products worldwide. In these roles, both Hailey and Hislop are well-positioned to help Genie continue to meet rental industry and aerial market demands, as well as to focus on continuous improvement.

Hailey has been with Genie since 2005 and has held roles in design engineering, product improvement, and new-product development before joining the product management group in 2012. Hailey actively participates in developing and supporting the long-term vision of Terex AWP, including new-product road mapping and the identification of new technologies, markets, and channels that will strengthen Genie as a leading global provider of aerial work platforms and telehandlers. Hailey holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Seattle University.

Hislop has been with Genie since 2001, and in his 15-year career with the company has worked extensively in product management and engineering, including holding positions on the new-product-development and product-improvement teams. He also has been an active participant in the company’s five-year vision and road map process activities. Hislop holds a master of mechanical engineering degree and a master of business administration, with a focus on technology management, degree from the University of Washington.
