Glacier Computer Releases Ridgeline T400 Semi-Rugged Tablet Computer

Glacier Computer, New Milford, Conn., a designer, developer, and supplier of rugged industrial PC-compatible devices, announces the release of the Ridgeline T400 tablet computer. The computer offers customers in the warehouse, freight, manufacturing, and field service markets a Windows XP, semi rugged tablet. The T400 is an easy-to-carry 10.4-inch tablet with high bright display and touch screen. Designed for continuous use, the T400 weighs less than 3 pounds, and has a hot-swap battery function allowing for uninterrupted operation. The T400 boasts a 1.6 GHz Atom processor, up to 2 GB of DRAM, onboard camera and numerous programmable function buttons.

A versatile tablet computer, it features optional add-on modules for specific applications. Magnetic stripe reader, RFID, GPS, and bar code scanner, are all available features that can be ordered with the T400. Optional cases, shoulder straps, and battery chargers are also available.

“The T400 is an aggressively priced tablet computer built to withstand everyday use within a variety of industries and applications,” stated John Geary, vice president of sales for Glacier. “We felt there was a need for a reliable, full-screen unit that adapted to a multitude of industry segments,” said Geary.
