GMG Inc., a global provider of access equipment, plans to introduce many new models in 2018.

The company will roll out the first two of those models at The Rental Show, February 19-21 in New Orleans: the 1530-ED micro scissor and the VM26-J mast boom lift.

The 1530-ED micro scissor fills a need that GMG says has been somewhat overlooked. The length and weight of traditional 15- to 19-ft. scissor makes them too heavy and cumbersome to get into elevators, and mast lifts do not offer enough deck space.

GMG says studies have shown that more than 60% of 19-ft. scissor lifts are used at platform heights in the 15- to 16-ft. range, not their full 19-ft. extension.

GMG has combined the compactness of the 1330-ED micro scissor with th versatility of the 1930-ED to produce a compact micro scissor that weighs only 1,892 lbs. while offering all-electric drive, the spaciousness of a slide-out extension deck, and 530-lb. platform capacity.

The VM26-J mast boom lift is an excellent industrial access solution that features a compact envelope, all-electric drive, a robust elevating mast, and a jib.

It has a whisper-quiet operating system, spacious platform, 120° of jib oscillation, large non-marking tires, and 40% gradeability.

Jim Tolle, GMG CEO, said that all models are built with the latest innovations, best components available, and are supported with two-year warranty.
