Haulotte Group, Bil-Jax Debut as Single Company

Last week, the newly joined Haulotte Group and Bil-Jax entered the U.S. market as one at a customer open house at Haulotte's Kennesaw, Ga., service center. The event was the first in a series to introduce customers to the company's extended product offerings.

Since the acquisition, branding has slightly changed for Bil-Jax aerial work platforms. Products such as the X-Boom and Summit Series will feature the Haulotte insignia in addition to the Bil-Jax brand. Staging equipment and scaffolds will remain branded as Bil-Jax/Haulotte equipment for the time being. The company also relayed that it will most likely begin producing Haulotte's lifts in the Archbold, Ohio, facility in early 2009.

Service has been a focal point for Haulotte in recent years, and in the United States, the company manages three service centers: Frederick, Md., Rialto, Calif., and the Kennesaw center. With Bil-Jax located in Ohio, Haulotte now has a fourth facility in the Midwest. A fifth service center is planned for Houston, Texas, which the company reports will open soon. Outside the United States, Haulotte is making arrangements for a Canadian subsidiary and two manufacturing plants, one in China and a second one in Romania, next year.

At 2009 industry events, Haulotte and Bil-Jax/Haulotte will introduce new products at The Rental Show and Intermat. Jointly displaying their wares in one booth, Bil-Jax will show its products for the first time in the heavy equipment area at the tradeshow. Haulotte Group's presence at the The Rental Show will show its continued commitment to the U.S. market, despite market conditions.
