H&E Equipment Services, Inc., Baton Rouge, La., has acquired the assets of J.W. Burress, Inc., located in the mid-Atlantic states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but key managers and employees of J.W. Burress will continue in similar positions to those held prior to the acquisition. Going forward, the 12 J.W. Burress locations will become the mid-Atlantic division of H&E Equipment Services and will adopt the H&E management structure of division vice presidents and branch managers, the management structure typical of the other 50 H&E locations nationwide.
Bill Daly, former senior vice president with J.W. Burress, has been appointed division vice president, mid-Atlantic-South and will assume responsibility for the Winston Salem, Charlotte, Arden, Raleigh, Greenville, Columbia and Charleston branches. Roy Perry, former senior vice president with J.W. Burress has been appointed division vice president, mid-Atlantic-North and will oversee operations in Norfolk, Roanoke, Richmond, Warrenton and Baltimore.
