HERC Hires IT Vet Marani as Chief Information Officer | Construction News

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation ("HERC") has named IT veteran Richard Marani as its chief information officer (CIO), reporting to Larry Silber, president and CEO of HERC. Marani joins HERC as the company prepares to separate from parent corporation Hertz Global Holdings Inc. and become a stand-alone company.

"Rich Marani has a track record of delivering on business critical IT objectives and overseeing successful information system transformations. He will be an invaluable asset to HERC as we plan for our future. Rich has already led an information technology team through a spin-off transaction and brings executive-level IT experience to ensure that our infrastructure enables our business plans."

Marani has more than 30 years of IT experience across industrial products, construction equipment, aerospace, and information technology businesses, including General Electric, United Technologies, Ingersoll Rand Corporation, and Doosan Infracore.
