Hoist Liftruck ECH Series Delivered to Gulf Coast Region

Following delivery of the first ECH Series units to California, Hoist Liftruck Mfg., Bedford Park, Ill., announced it is shipping more machines to the Gulf Coast region. Hoist dealer Toyota Lift of Houston has sold three ECH-8 units to Shipper Stevedoring Company, and Southeast Industrial Equipment has sold an ECH‐4 unit to a container storage/repair yard company in Georgia. Additionally, Hoist Liftruck reports two more ECH‐8 units have been sold in Taiwan with several other deals in Asia pending approval.

According to Hoist Liftruck, the advanced modular design on the Hoist ECH Series allows for containerized shipping and reduced setup time that can save a customer as much as 25 percent on shipping and setup costs. The modular design also provides efficient serviceability with bolt‐on assemblies for easy part replacement. Opposite of traditional mast designs, the unique ECH Series mast features a rigid inner mast and telescoping outer, which reduces torsional stresses and increases durability. The wide‐view mast with nested cylinders, coupled with a high‐position cab and angled overhead glass, provides the operator with superior visibility.

Other standard features include 6.7L Tier 3-compliant Cummins diesel engine; Dana 32000 automatic transmission; load sense hydraulic system; AxleTech planetary drive axle; stabilizing system preventing lateral movement; side‐post attachment with two ISO rear twistlocks that extend/retract to handle containers up to 53 feet; interlock safety system to insure proper locking and twistlock engagement indicator lights; and RemoteTech vehicle management system.
