Industry Mourns Loss of AWP, Telehandler Sales Veteran | Daily Construction News

background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Rental industry pioneer John Kennedy, owner of Sales to Industry Inc., passed away on Dec. 28, 2012. John's Sales to Industry Inc.'s manufacturer's sales group had served the rental industry since 1984, and he represented major aerial lift, air equipment, and various equipment product lines with true professionalism and dedication to the industry. His commitment to the rental industry was through promoting innovative products for more than 30 years and being involved with state and national rental associations. Sales To Industry Inc. was one of the first manufacturer's rep groups to establish digital marketing.

 

background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">John served for three years in the U.S. Army, during which time he proudly completed a tour of Vietnam. Upon his return, John attended the University of Bridgeport, graduating in 1972. John started his career with Ingersoll Rand and then founded  Sales To Industry, where represented a number of popular brands over the years, including Skyjack, CareLift Equipment, Haulotte, Lull, Traverse Lift, Niftylift, and Harlo. The company currently represents Snorkel, Reachmaster, Doosan Construction Equipment, and Omega Lift.

 

background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">John is survived by his wife Sandra; mother-in-law, Susanne Zwerling; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debi and Ron Webb; and cousins Audrey Kent and her husband, Larn, and Robert  Swain and his wife, Joan.

 

background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">A memorial service will be held in New Jersey in the spring. The family asks that donations be made to the Hunterdon Hospice,  2100 Wescott Dr, Flemington, NJ 08822.
