International Rental Exchange Program Promotes Leadership

Matt Gordon of Centenary Hire, Queensland, Australia, is the latest participant in the international exchange program administered by the American Rental Association (ARA) for the Global Rental Alliance. Gordon will be learning more about Nor-Val Rentals, British Columbia, Canada, throughout the next month as well as sharing business practices that he has learned.

Gordon also will attend the ARA Leadership Conference in Chicago in mid-October to meet local, state and provincial leaders involved with ARA and the Canadian Rental Association, plus ARA’s board of directors.

The international exchange program provides young rental professionals the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. The participants are able to experience how the rental equipment business functions in countries and operations other than their own. Overall, the program encourages international travel and cultural and business sharing of information.

In mid-October, Brittany Haas of Crown Rental Co., Rosemount, Minn., will travel to Camden, New South Wales, Australia, to visit Camden Hire. Haas’ exchange will run through mid-November.
