IPAF to Hold Aerial Platform Conference in Chicago, Nov.1-2, 2011

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is holding a major conference about recognizing and avoiding hazards in powered access units on Nov. 1-2, 2011, in Chicago. The conference is IPAF’s first-ever national event in the U.S. It is open both to IPAF members and non-members.

Entitled “Powered Access: Recognition and Avoidance of Hazards,” the two-day event will focus on current issues in the aerial lift and mast climbing work platform industry. Key industry speakers will present on current topics ranging from the recognition and avoidance of hazards and employer responsibility, to updates on IPAF activities and recent research data, and what is happening in the Latin American market.

The two-day event opens at noon, Nov. 1, with lunch and a networking reception, followed by educational sessions and then dinner in the evening. The Nov. 2 program opens with breakfast, followed by a full morning of educational sessions before the event ends at noon.

“Recognizing that North America is the world’s largest market for aerial platforms, IPAF is holding this important educational conference for AWP users here,” said Bill Hindman, representative of American Work Platform Training, IPAF’s North American subsidiary.

Registration is $120 per delegate for IPAF members and $160 per delegate for non-members. The fee includes lunch, reception, and dinner on day one, all breaks, and breakfast on day two.
