Joystick Controls Company Emerges with New Name

Following private equity firm Littlejohn & Co.'s acquisition of ITT Industries' switch group earlier this year, the man-machine interface supplier is now operating independently and has emerged with a new name, CoActive Technologies, Inc. Businesses within CoActive Technologies include interface controls, electromechanical switches, keypads, and dome arrays and modules. According to the company, the interface controls division also has taken on a new name, DeltaTech Controls.

DeltaTech Controls remains the specialist in the design and manufacture of custom and bespoke joysticks, foot pedals, analogue rockers, and armrest products for the industrial vehicle market. The division has supplied a number of control systems for lifting equipment OEMs, including Genie, JLG, Haulotte, and UpRight.

According to Martin Gosling, DeltaTech Controls' sales and marketing director: “We chose the name DeltaTech Controls as we feel it exemplifies the three most important aspects of our business strategy: our vast range of product solutions (Controls), our unrivalled technical know-how (Tech), and the benefits our customers gain from our different approach (Delta). Under our new name, we will continue to provide our customers with the same support, products and services as before.”

Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, with sales and engineering resources worldwide, DeltaTech Controls benefits from being a lean and process-oriented company. The TS16949-, ISO 9001:2000-, and ISO 14001-approved company is continually evaluating and developing new technologies and techniques for the next generation of controller products.
