J.R. Merritt Adds New Joystick to Product Line

J.R. Merritt Controls Inc., Stratford, Conn., has added the new ultra-compact CS3 Bang/Bang joystick to its product line. The rugged, single-speed, on-off controller joystick uses microswitches with quick-connect terminals. This economical device will perform reliably in a wide range of industrial applications where durability is a must and space is a factor, including bucket trucks, truck-mounted cranes, construction, agriculture, mining, forestry, and airport ground-support equipment.

Designed for long life, the corrosion-resistant components, durable housing and center pivot design of the CS3 allow for 20 million mechanical cycles and enable it to withstand abuse in even the roughest of environments.

Single- and double-axis controls are available, as well as a variety of standard and custom handles and grips. Separate or simultaneous operation of the component can be achieved with standard gate patterns. The joystick is also available with stacked microswitches allowing two microswitches per direction, according to the company.
