J.R. Merritt has released the XL-VNSO joystick controller with hall position sensor. Incorporating the same mechanics and non-contacting hall-effect technology as Merritt’s standard model, the XL-VNSO also includes a hall position sensor that creates a more compact, low-profile controller to fit into narrow control consoles or confined spaces.

The controller can be used on cranes, bucket trucks, aerial work platforms and material handling equipment in the forestry, mining and construction industries.

Targeted at high-duty cycle applications and rough environments, this one-, two-, and three-axis, rugged joystick offers precise proportional control of electro-hydraulic proportional valves commonly found on off-road mobile equipment. The XL-VNSO joystick also accommodates applications that require digital or analog command signals to control variable-speed drives, PLCs, and microprocessors, including CANbus.

The XL-VNSO’s gimbal yokes are made of nickel chromium, hardened steel bearings, polished steel shaft guides, bronze gate handle stops, and dual compression-return springs in each axis. Various standard and custom gates and a large selection of handles are also available.
