Konecranes Forms New Asia-Pacific Region

As of Sept. 1, 2010, Konecranes will combine the current Southeast Asia Pacific and Northeast Asia (NEA) regions to one. The new Asia-Pacific (APAC) Region will be headed by Ryan Flynn, who has been senior vice president and head of Konecranes's operations in NEA since September 2009.

According to Konecranes, after this structural change the company will be in a better position to serve its customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The company's structure consists of four regions: Americas; Western Europe, Middle East and Africa; Nordic, Eastern Europe and India; and Asia-Pacific.

Flynn also is a member of the company's Extended Management Team. Previously, Flynn worked for Konecranes as director, ports, Northeast and

Southeast Asia. In his new role as the head of the APAC Region, Flynn will continue to report to Harry Ollila, executive vice president and head of market operations.

Edward Yakos, who was senior vice president, South Asia Pacific, had a long career at Konecranes but is pursuing other interests.
