Lift and Access Announces New Associate Publisher, Editor

Maximum Capacity Media, Fort Dodge, Iowa, announces staff changes to Lift and Access magazine. Katie Parrish, who has been the magazine’s editor since its launch in 2004, has been promoted to associate publisher. She will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities. In addition to developing marketing packages for clients, she will take responsibility for managing all of the company’s digital products.

“Katie has been instrumental in the success of Lift and Access magazine since its inception,” said Guy Ramsey, president and publisher. “She brings insight and solid relationships to the newly created position of associate publisher.”

Replacing Parrish as editor is Mike Larson, an experienced construction equipment writer with more than 25 years in the industry. Most recently, Larson worked as an independent journalist and photographer contributing to Engineering News -Record, Midwest Construction, and Constructor magazines. He previously edited Midwest Construction and Western Builder magazines. Larson began his construction-communications career working in advertising, marketing communications, and media relations for Manitowoc Cranes. Larson will join MCM on Jan. 17 and can be reached at mlarson@maxcapmedia.com after that date. He will report to Tracy Bennett, editorial director.

“Mike’s skills as a reporter and writer combined with his extensive construction equipment knowledge make him a tremendous asset to our editorial team,” said Tracy Bennett. “Readers will be the direct beneficiaries of his talents.”
