Man Catapulted from Truck-Mounted Lift

Egg Harbor City, N.J., May 2012—An Egg Harbor City man was injured when he was thrown out of the bucket of a truck-mounted lift while trying to lift a vehicle chassis with it.

The man was in the lift’s bucket and had a rope tied from the bucket to a vehicle chassis he was trying to move. When the rope snapped, the man was thrown out of the bucket and fell about 20 feet onto the rear of the truck on which the lift was mounted.

Suffering from moderate injuries, he was treated by paramedics, then taken to a regional medical center. OSHA is investigating. – www.shorenewstoday.com
