Manitou Adds to its MHT Series of Heavy Telescopic Handlers

Manitou North America, Waco, Texas, announces the introduction of MHT 860 for the U.S. market, the newest of its heavy telescopic range. The MHT 860 is equipped with many of the same features of the previously introduced MHT 10120, 10160 and 10210 models and incorporates the high performance hydraulic systems of the MLT series.

The MHT 860 offers users 13,200-pound maximum capacity. Capacity at its maximum lift height of 26’6” is 7,700 pounds. Capacity at its maximum forward reach of 15’10” is 3,900 pounds. The MHT 860 is powered by the latest 144-hp Tier III Perkins turbo diesel. The MHT features a two-speed hydrostatic transmission, which makes it both highly maneuverable and operator friendly. Combined with the high horsepower Perkins engine, it enables the MHT 860 to deliver a massive 23,600 foot-pounds of drawbar pull equating to excellent rough terrain performance, according to the company.

Standard features include the new fully enclosed “Evolution” ROPS/FOPS certified cab with heater/defroster and air conditioner. A high-output load sensing hydraulic system combined with the new JSM (joystick switch and move) joystick enable the MHT 860 to perform three simultaneous movements with no loss of speed. A wide range of attachments are available for the MHT 860. The MHT 860 incorporates all of the standard operating features of the Maniscopic line such as three steering modes, and frame leveling into a heavy-duty machine capable of the most demanding jobsites.
