Manitou, West Bend, Wis., has released the MT 5519 telescopic handler, which features a low-profile, compact frame with an overall height of 6’4” and a tight turning radius of 11 feet.

Designed for use in low buildings, under parking garages and in confined job sites, the MT 5519’s low-profile boom reaches to a height of 19’1” and features the same welded box-section design as larger MT Series telescopic handlers.

The 5,500-pound lift capacity machine offers internal wet disc service brakes standard, along with a SAHR (Spring-Applied, Hydraulic-Release) parking brake, which is automatically applied when the engine is shut-off or manually by pressing a rocker switch.

The telescopic handler’s ROPS/FOPS canopy offers a 360° view. Two direct mechanical joystick controls for boom and fork tilt functions are standard. Options include an enclosed cab is optional with front and top windows, a door, a heater/defroster, and air conditioning, and a deluxe suspension seat.

The MT 5519 is powered by a 68 hp (50.7 kW) water-cooled Yanmar four cylinder diesel engine. A two-speed hydrostatic transmission with inching valve and three selectable steering modes and a powerful hydraulic system are standard. A large hinged hood on the side of the machine provides engine accessibility. The hood lifts fully out of the way to access maintenance points, including the battery and oil fill.

The telescopic handler offers hydraulic flow up to 22 gpm (83 L/min). Optional auxiliary hydraulics are available to power available attachments, including truss booms, jib booms, buckets, as well as carriages and forks.
