Manitou Americas kicked off its “Next Big Thing” Dealer Event on March 15, 2016, at the Manitou Americas headquarters in West Bend, Wis.

More than 190 dealer representatives came from across the United States and Canada to attend the two-day event.

New product introductions were one of Manitou's main reasons for holding the event. Gehl and Mustang announced the addition of two large-capacity articulated loaders. New Manitou brand products on display included the TMT 55 truck-mounted forklift and the MH/MSI Series semi-industrial forklifts. Product demonstrations, break-out sessions, and corporate wide presentations were also part of the program.

An award ceremony and recognition dinner honoring North America's top Gehl, Manitou, and Mustang dealers of 2015 were also part of the event, as were tours of the Manitou Americas headquarters facility, including the R&D center.

More than 30 Gehl, Mustang, and Manitou machines paraded around the Washington County exposition center, then parked so that dealers could examine them and and ask questions of product experts, product managers, and Manitou America's executive management.

“The event was an overall success, from the turnout out of our dealer network to the collaboration between our corporate team making it all happen,” said Eric Burkhammer, vice president of sales and marketing for Manitou Americas. “I feel our dealers not only left with a greater knowledge of our corporate history, product offerings, and the future direction of our company, but most importantly they were exposed to most of our corporate team, meeting the right people for continued day to day business support,” said Burkhammer.

“Manitou Americas has significantly grown in the last few years, so it was great to have this opportunity to showcase the breadth of our product lines, debut multiple new products, and introduce customer support initiatives to our North American Dealers,” said Lori Heidecker, director of marketing for Manitou Americas.
