Last week at Bauma, the Manitou group presented its material-handling solutions to customers at the Germany trade show. The company noted that customer demand in the last few years has been renting machine more than before, which requires products to be easier to use without a loss of quality, performance, or safety.
"As capital equipment that is essential on work sites, our machines contribute to the profitability of construction professionals, whether small or large, and also to that of regional, national or international hirers", says Dominique Bamas, chief executive of the Manitou group. "In a complex and volatile economic context, we lack visibility. However, aware of the strong rental demand, the Manitou group is endeavouring to offer solutions adapted to the new expectations of its equipment-hiring customers. This involves simplifying our material handling solutions, but without reducing customization and innovation. Serving our customers and maintaining the great diversity of products from the material-handling reference are our priorities."
The Manitou group is continuing to establish reliable and powerful local networks through more than 1,400 dealers, which have qualifications and expertise that are unanimously recognized in all of the group's business sectors.
BAUMA 2013 allowed the company to promote "Power X 3" in its range of material-handling solutions. This includes:
- Diversity: Three brands Manitou/Gehl/Mustang, which are present in three construction market segments (residential, non-residential and infrastructure) and offer a wide range of products
- Simplicity: The renewal in the mid-height range (MT 8-11-13 metres); new engine types for the rotating telescopic trucks "MRT Privilege" and "Easy," which has facilitated access to maintenance
- Customization: Safety; reliability; appropriate attachments
- Innovation: The "concept-trucks"; "Stop&Go"; new compact loader with the 400V/4000V
New equipment on the stand included the MT 835, MT 1135, and MT 1335 mid-range telescopic trucks, the Easy Series MRT 1440, MRT 1640, and MRt 18040 with new engines, the new Priveilege Plus MRT 1850, MRT 2150, and MRT 2540 rotating telescopic trucks, the M30 and M50 new all-terrain mast trucks, and a new range of Manitou-approved attachments.
