MH Equipment, Peoria, Ill., announced that it has assumed the Hyster territory in the St. Louis and Cape Girardeau, Mo., markets from Shipping Utilities. Along with the purchase of a majority of Shipping Utilities's assets, MH Equipment also will bring on board 34 parts, sales, and service employees, including 13 skilled technicians.
Purchased in 1994 by John Wieland, MH Equipment has been a Hyster dealer since 1952 and has expanded to 25 branches in 10 states over the last decade, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. MH Equipment provides sales, rental, parts, service, training, fleet management and support for numerous products, including Hyster forklifts, JCB construction equipment, Genie aerial lifts, Rico custom forklifts, Mariotti small capacity lift trucks, and other related material-handling equipment.
