Man & Material Lift Engineering, Cudahy, Wis., recently worked with switchgear specialist Federal Pacific to design and manufacture a package consisting of a boom lift, Honda power unit, electric and hydraulic controls, and stabilizers. All this was assembled on a trailer.
The concept emerged from the need to restore power quickly when a transformer fails. This machine can quickly connect to
the failed transformer wiring and switch to the working transformer on the trailer. The bad transformer can be replaced at a later time when it’s convenient for the utility company and switched back online without interruption.
