NCCER, NACB Offer Complimentary Certification Exams to 10 Participants

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and the North American Crane Bureau (NACB) are offering complimentary written and practical examinations to the first 10 people to sign up, potentially leading to certification under the NCCER Crane Operator Certification Program.

The written examination (telescopic boom cranes), consists of a total of 60 questions with a 3-hour time limit. The practical examination (rubber tire truck mount crane – telescopic boom), taking an average of 35 to 45 minutes per practical, will be given on an 18-ton truck crane.

Written examinations will be given at 7 a.m. on Oct. 14 at the Heathman Hotel during the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals’ 2009 Workshop & General Assembly in Woodland, Wash. The practical exams will be given the same day.
