Chicago, Ill.-based NES Rentals Holdings Inc. completed its purchase of Ballard Equipment, Chattanooga, Tenn., and the company officially began operating as the Chattanooga branch of NES Rentals last week. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Jim Ballard, founder of Ballard Equipment, and the company's 12 employees will remain with the organization. Ballard's fleet includes 300 pieces of equipment.

“The team at Ballard Equipment has built a valuable organization, and we are delighted to welcome them to the NES Rentals team,” said Andrew Studdert, NES Rentals chairman and CEO.  “We are confident its southeast Tennessee customers will be pleased with the high level of customer service and diverse product offerings at NES.”

Ballard said the company has joined an organization that values its ability to "treat customers with the level of service they prefer from a small organization, but with the broad product lines and expertise found at a larger operation with national reach.”
