New Asset Tracking Device Available for Sprint Subscribers

TeleNav, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Sendum, Vancouver, B.C., will now make available the Sendum PT200 tracking device for Sprint wireless enterprise customers using the TeleNav Asset Tracker platform. The device provides location information allowing users to monitor the real-time location of assets. The combination of Sendum’s PT200 tracking hardware with the TeleNav Asset Tracker platform helps organizations improve the speed and accuracy with which they locate and dispatch equipment and assets.  

The Sendum PT200 is a portable, rugged tracking device that can easily be placed in packages, containers, or mounted to machinery or vehicles. The device uses assisted GPS, a technology combining GPS satellite and cellular tower triangulation data. It is also designed for extreme conditions. Additional features include:

  • Rechargeable, quick-change, high capacity lithium ion battery packs
  • Comprehensive reporting – on demand or scheduled reporting cycle
  • Battery level alerts
  • Geo-fencing
  • Integrated temperature sensor
  • Intelligent power management conserves battery life and minimizes network usage  

The TeleNav Asset Tracker platform using the Sendum PT200 is now available to Sprint wireless customers. A monthly subscription to TeleNav Asset Tracker service and a Sprint data plan are required to use the service.
