New Machine Categories to Debut at Lift and Access Equipment Showcase

For the fourth year, North American lifting equipment providers will convene in Phoenix, Ariz., to present the distinct qualities of their machines at the Lift and Access Equipment Showcase. Maximum Capacity Media, Fort Dodge, Iowa, publisher of Lift and Access magazine, invites qualified component vendors to participate in the 2009 Equipment Showcase, which will feature 45-foot rough-terrain articulating aerial lifts, OEMs’ choice of electric aerial work platforms, and 6,000-pound straight-mast forklifts.

Additionally, boom trucks will be reviewed for the first time in the Equipment Showcase’s history. Two sizes of boom trucks will be at the event in two different size ranges: 32- to 35-ton capacities and 50-ton capacities.

The annual event is a unique opportunity for component and product support vendors to network with equipment OEMs. According to Guy Ramsey, president and publisher of Lift and Access, 17 manufacturers of aerial lifts, forklifts, and cranes have committed to participate in this exclusive industry event. Those manufacturers include Altec, Ausa, BilJax/Haulotte, Custom Equipment, Elliott, Genie, JCB, MEC, Manitex, Manitou, National Crane, Niftylift, Reachmaster, Skyjack, Snorkel, Tadano, and Terex.

Vendors are invited to observe OEM equipment walk-around presentations, machine testing, demonstrations, and round-table discussions. The activities will take place Nov. 9-13, 2009, at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort & Casino in Scottsdale/Fountain Hills, Ariz.
