Old Equipment Expo to Feature 1928 Wilford Model B Shovel

The Historical Construction Equipment Association (HCEA) will hold its International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition Sept. 10-12, 2010 in Richmond, R.I. Information about exhibiting antique or vintage equipment can be found at www.hcea.net. Vendor and flea market space is also available. In addition to displays, old construction equipment will be used in demonstrations, operating competitions, and other activities.

This year’s event, hosted by HCEA’s Northeast RockBusters Chapter, is located at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Among the featured equipment will be a 1928 Wilford Model B shovel owned by Ted Valpey III and a 1929 Ford AA dump truck owned by Matt Volatile.

The HCEA is dedicated to preserving for public education the history of the construction, dredging and surface mining equipment industries. It operates a museum and archives.
