Palfinger North America, Niagara Falls, Ontario, is opening two training facilities, in addition to its Tiffin, Ohio, location.
The new locations, designed to offer the convenience of close proximity, and enable the company’s educational institution, Palfinger University, to conduct classes simultaneously in multiple locations, are in Trenton, N. J., and Cerritos, Calif. Seven instructors, from the company’s sales and service teams, will conduct courses at the facilities, The school boasts a schedule of nearly 40 classes for the 2011 calendar year.
In addition to the new locations, and changes to course content, new technology that assists the trainers, particularly in the area of service, has also been added. Electronic display boards, simulators, computer software, and automated models help the trainers in trouble-shooting exercises and teaching product knowledge.
Palfinger University hopes to continue to expand into other types of training as requested by dealers and customers, notes the company.
