Peerless Industrial Group, Inc., Winona, Minn., has acquired Clackamas, Ore.-based Security Chain Co. (SCC) from Burns Bros., Inc. Founded in 1969 as a designer and distributor of winter traction products, SCC offers winter traction products and other transportation and industry products, such as load binders, chain & webbing assemblies, lifting slings and bulk chain, cable, and accessories. Peerless will add SCC’s products as a complement to its existing product offering.
The SCC employee team in Oregon will be retained, and Peerless will continue to operate in the SCC location as well as its existing locations in Minnesota, Rhode Island, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.
Peerless sells its chain industry products under the brands of Peerless Chain Company, ACCO, Weissenfels USA, Letellier Material Handling Equipment and SCC.
