Austria-based, Pewag has opened its first North American manufacturing plant in Pueblo, Colo. The company has been distributing chain in the U.S. since 1975, and has its U.S. operation headquarters in Bolingbrook, Ill.
The new Pueblo plant will manufacture snow chains for the North American market. When fully built out, the plant will cover 55,000 sq. ft. and employ 55 people from the Pueblo area. The plant is being financed by the Pueblo Development Foundation
Pewag manufactures three main product lines: traction or snow chains, industrial chains, and tire protection chains.
