Raydan Manufacturing Ontario Attains National Safety Mark Registration

Edmonton, Alberta-based Raydan Manufacturing, Inc. has announced that Raydan Manufacturing Ontario, Inc., a division of Raydan Manufacturing, has achieved National Safety Mark registration with Transport Canada.

As listed on Transport Canada's website, Raydan Manufacturing Ontario is registered for final stage • body and equipment; final stage • GAWR/GVWR increase; final stage • wheelbase alterations; intermediate stage • body and equipment; and intermediate stage • GAWR/GVWR increase.

“We are pleased to have achieved NSM registration,” said Brian Ahrens, director of operations of Raydan Manufacturing Ontario. “Under our Sturdy Truck Body division, we are now one of a very small, select group recognized by Transport Canada, offering design, manufacturing, and body installation with an added axle from a single location.”

Ray English, president and chief operating officer of Raydan, believes that the NSM registration strengthens Raydan's position in the marketplace. “Ontario has the largest concentration of Class 8 vocational trucks in Canada and Raydan is now prepared to meet their modification demands,” he said. “Raydan's focus has been the vocational truck marketplace for a number of years and we are excited to be in the epicenter of the industry.”
