In the first quarter of 2017, Haulotte Group achieved consolidated sales of €133.3 million ($145.6 million USD), an increase of 16% for the same period of the previous year. Excluding currency effects, the increase was 15%.

Positive commercial activity of the first quarter was driven by demand in Europe (+33% excluding currency effects), and all other markets posted strong growth. Asia-Pacific (+2%, at constant exchange rates) continued to experience a contrasting situation, with growth in southeast Asia and Oceania but contraction in the Middle East. No rebound was observed in Latin America, reporting stable sales compared to the previous year. Sales in North America were lower than in the first quarter of 2016 (-20% at constant exchange rates).

Services and rental activities also increased by + 10% and + 21%, respectively, (at constant exchange rates).

Following the first quarter, Haulotte confirms it expects to deliver sales growth of more than 5% in 2017.
