Access equipment manufacturer Snorkel has introduced a new extension deck for its M1230E access platform.
The new extension-deck option for the M1230E electric scissor lift is slated for official unveiling in mid-April at the Bauma trade show in Munich, Germany, but Snorkel wanted to give the North American access equipment industry a preview at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, during February.
The optional roll-out extension adds nearly 20 in. of length to the M1230E’s 38-in. working platform. That’s an increase of about 50%.
The main platform’s safe working capacity is 500 lbs. The extension’s capacity will be about 225 lbs., according to Snorkel global marketing manager Amelia Pearce.
The Snorkel M1230E offers a maximum working platform height of 11’11”, and overall width of 30 in., an overall length of 53 in., and a stowed height of 64 in. Designed for work in tight spaces, it offers 14.4-in inside turning radius and 58.5-in. outside turning radius.
