Snorkel Unveils T66JRT Straight Stick Boom at The Rental Show | Daily Construction News

The 1,500 sq.ft.Snorkel booth featured 13 machines, ranging from 10-ft. mini-scissor lifts to the final production version of the new T66JRT straight stick boom.

This 66ft. aerial lift is part of Snorkel’s new family of mid-size boom lifts that now share a common chassis. Designed for rough terrain work, the T66JRT has an oscillating axle to help keep all four wheels on the ground. It also has hydrostatic 4WD, ground clearance of 14 in. and a powerful 59hp Kubota diesel engine. It can traverse gradients of up to 45%.

The telescoping boom, platform and jib functions are infinitely controlled and variable through the use of toggle switches and a rheostat –a reliable, simple and inexpensive repair solution. A very compact chassis, it also has an excellent inside turning radius, at 4ft 6ins (1.4m) and a low stowed height, at 8ft 2ins (2.5m).

Simple relay logic controls and hydraulics, plus swing-out engine modules, ensure that the T66JRT is easy and inexpensive to inspect, service, and repair. It is also available without the 6-ft. jib, as the lower cost T60JRT.

Snorkel products represented at The Rental Show, include electric slab scissors; mast booms; push-around mast lifts; towable booms and rough terrain booms.
