Socage Introduces 65-Foot Truck-Mounted AWP

Socage S.r.l., Sorbara Di Bomporto, Italy, has developed a new truck-mounted aerial work platform, the DA365, derived from the DA320 model which can reach a maximum working height of 65 feet (20 meters) and can reach 31 feet (9.5 meters). Mounted on a Ford F-550 pickup with a GVW of 8.8 tons, the DA365 has the same overall performance with both standard and “within the mirrors” stabilization area. All North American models must comply with ANSI standards, which can be fairly different from the European CE standard.

Socage showed a unit developed by Stamm Manufacturing, first official Socage dealer in the U.S. based in Fort Pierce, Fla., at ConExpo 2011.

"We are just at the beginning, but after the positive feedback from the exhibition, we are sure that investing in the U.S. market will achieve important goals," said Fiorenzo Flisi, CEO of Socage S.r.l.

Socage will continue to seek U.S. dealers.

"I've visited many potential dealers and most of them are interested in further discussions for starting a business relationship," said Simone Tomasi, Socage export manager for the U.S. market.
