Sunbelt Rentals’ new Safety Training Group offers regularly scheduled operator training and Train the Trainer courses for Sunbelt Rentals’ customers.
Operator training classes utilize hands-on training focusing on safe operation of aerial work platforms (AWPs), forklifts, backhoe/loaders and skid-steer loaders. Train the Trainer courses certify participants to conduct AWP and forklift operator training.
Catherine Whitney vice president of risk management and safety for the company noted the importance of providing customers with a “consistent, high-quality resource for safety training and materials.” The company’s dedication to safety practices was recognized by Occupational Hazards magazine (now EHS Today), which named Sunbelt Rentals as one of America’s Safest Companies in 2008.
