Terex Hires 500 Workers in Washington

According to Bloomberg.com, Terex Corp. has hired about 500 workers at two of its Washington plants during the first quarter of 2012. The hiring increase is a result of customers who need new machines to replace their aging equipment.

The company hired the workers at its Redmond and Moses Lake plants, which manufacture Genie aerial work platforms. The hirings were made to meet rising demand from customers wanting delivery between March and September.

Bloomberg reported that Terex AWP’s global workforce was cut by about half to about 3,000 in 2010 from 2008.
