Tow Trucks Hold Tipping Crane from Falling into River

Elgin, Ill., June 2012—A lattice-boom crawler crane working on a seawall along a river began tipping toward the water after its left track fell through a deck above the river. Heavy tow trucks held the crane from toppling into the river until a larger crane could reach the site and pull it out. No one was hurt. OSHA is investigating. – www.chicagotribune.com
