Tree Cutter Injured When Truck Crane Tips | Daily Construction News

 

Haddonfield, N.J.—A tree cutter suffered a broken leg when a truck crane that was handling cutoff pieces of a large tree tipped onto its side. An investigator said that the crane toppled when it handled a piece of tree that was heavier than expected. The toppling crane tossed the tree cutter onto the roof of a house, from which he was rescued by firefighters and then taken to a local hospital. The crane operator was unhurt but trapped in the crane cab until power to electrical wires downed by the accident was turned off. OSHA is investigating. – www.haddon.patch.com
