Trojan Battery Co., Santa Fe, Calif., today announced the appointment of Jeff Elder to the position of president. Reporting directly to Rick Godber, Elder will be the first president in the company’s history who is not a Godber family member. He will be responsible for the overall strategic management of all operations within Trojan Battery. Godber will continue as chairman and CEO, focused on the future strategic direction the company.

Elder, a five-year veteran of Trojan, has served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Trojan, he served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Dynamic Cooking Systems. His expertise in finance, operations and strategic planning spans over 30 years.
"As a family-owned business, the position of president at Trojan has historically been served by a Godber family member,” said Godber. “Jeff Elder will be the first president in Trojan’s 85-year history that has not been family member. Godber said Elder “has demonstrated the ability to expand Trojan Battery into new market opportunities with market share gains in both renewable energy and trucking industries, as well as increased Trojan’s core business during challenging economic times."
