Portsmouth, N.H., May 2013—Two construction workers were taken to a hospital by ambulance with leg injuries after the scissor lift they were using had a mechanical failure. According to a fire department official, the workers were in the access platform taking sheets of drywall to an elevated work area during reconstruction at a school when some type of mechanical failure caused the platform to come down.
