Updated BlueLine Rental App Available for iPhone | Industry News

BlueLine Rental (formerly Volvo Rents) has introduced an updated version of its customer app for use on iPhones. BlueLine expects an Android version to follow in a few weeks.

iPhone users can download the updated BlueLine Rental iPhone App, free, from the Apple App Store. The new version offers many enhancements to serve the unique needs of the construction industry.

The update includes a comprehensive specifications menu that lets users view equipment specs and download product documentation for machines manufactured by Volvo, Genie, Skyjack, JLG, Doosan, Magnum Products, Wacker Neuson, and Multiquip. The documents include pdf versions of product brochures, specification guides, owner’s manuals, and parts manuals. The documents can be shared easily by emailing straight from the app.

The update also includes a store locator makes it easy for users to find any of the 130 BlueLine Rental stores in the United States using the phone’s built-in GPS. The app even tells quick ways to get to the nearest store, including a map with a precise route to the store, turn-by-turn directions, and the ability to use the Apple Maps app for audio driving instructions. There are also addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers available for every BlueLine Rental location.

BlueLine Rental documentation is a third feature. The app lets contractors download BlueLine Rental Line Cards in English and Spanish. The cards show the equipment that the company’s stores offer. The new app also features links to BlueLine Rental credit applications.

Industry news comes as part of the app, too, with an RSS feed that pulls content from the BlueLine Rental blog, from industry publications, and from approved manufacturers.

The new app also features links to the BlueLine Rental Used Equipment site, so they can see the equipment BlueLine Rental has for sale, how much it costs, and where each machine is located. It also offers links to information on approved vendor websites.
