Valmova is Newest Member of Sauer-Danfoss Group

Sauer-Danfoss Inc., Ames, Iowa, has created a new “stand-alone” business named Valmova that will manufacture and sell directional control valves previously manufactured and marketed in the central Sauer-Danfoss organization. The new business’ name is derived from the company’s tag line, “Valves with More Value.”

“Valmova is well positioned to meet the needs and expectations of customers,” says Sven Ruder, president and chief executive officer of Sauer-Danfoss. Ruder says that when Sauer-Danfoss discovered there are tangible differences for this product line, especially in terms of customer needs, it created Valmova to bring enhanced focus on additional features and functionality.

Valmova is the newest member of the Sauer-Danfoss Group, which includes Comatrol, Turolla OpenCircuitGear, and Schwarzmüller-Inverter, as well as joint-venture company Hydro-Gear.

New Director will Oversee Valmova

Domenico Traverso, vice president of stand-alone businesses, has named Rinaldo Fernandes as Valmova’s director. Fernandes will manage all aspects of the Valmova business, including production facilities in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, and Pune, India.

According to Traverso, “Customers should be looking for exciting changes in our product line, including additional features, such as load-sense and higher performance, with virtually zero leakage and higher pressure limits. Together with optimized supply chain practices, we will offer the customer better value for the money.”

Traverso says Valmova will have a major focus on targeted applications in agriculture and construction.
